Superb late 19th century Garvens Wülfel cast iron weighing scale made in Wülfel, Hannover, Germany. A fantastic piece of industrial and sporting history. Standing approximately 5½ ft tall with the original twin graduated beams, sliding weights and substantial cast iron platform. Capacity 200kg. Beautifully aged red painted finish with plenty of character and patina. The GARVENS WÜLFEL maker’s mark is clearly cast into the frame. In excellent working order with the weighing mechanism, beams and original sliding weights all operating as they should.
