These traditional East Asian symbols represent harmony, imperial power, and good fortune. The base carries a diamond-shaped cartouche containing the character 福 (“Fuku” / “Fu”), meaning happiness or good fortune. The piece is well made and notably heavy for its size, weighing approximately 11 ounces, suggesting thick brass or bronze construction with an original dark patinated finish.
