Antique Windsor Wheelback Chairs

An attractive set of six early 20th century antique Windsor Wheelback kitchen chairs. The chairs all have hoop and stick backrests, with a decorative fret cut wheel shaped central splat. They are raised on four turned legs with ‘H’ stretcher supports. Consist of four normal chairs and two carver armchairs. A particularly pleasing set. Wheelback dining room chairs first produced in the 18th century and made of solid Beech wood with a beautiful patina. These elegant dining room/ Kitchen chairs have a spool back and a beautifully shaped seat. Therefore both functional and very decorative.
