Collector's miniature wall plaque

A wall miniature (plaque) titled "Roman Chariot in Cameo" from the highly regarded "The Miniature World of Peter Bates Limited" series. Produced in England (Gosport, Hampshire) by Peter Bates Ltd. This piece is the 7th Edition, as indicated by the marking on the accompanying blue catalog booklet. It features a raised white bas-relief in the style of a classic cameo, depicting a Roman chariot drawn by horses. The cameo is set against a contrasting black velvet background. The miniature is enclosed in a round brass frame, approximately 3 inches (7.5 cm) in diameter, with a special convex glass protecting the interior. At the top is a distinctive brass eyelet for wall hanging. The item comes in its original factory gift box with its original collector's booklet. Thank you for your attention.
