Dublin Millennium Commemorative 50p - Fifty Pence coin (988 - 1988 ) in circulated but very good condition. This Fifty Pence Coin was Struck to commemorate the Dublin Millennium. This is the first Irish Coin to be Struck in Commemoration of such an event. One side of the coin features the Irish Harp with the word Éire above and Date 1988 below. The other side features a special design by Thomas Ryan, President of the Royal Hibernian Academy. His design is based on the Coat of Arms of The City of Dublin and the Coat of Arms of The Lord Mayor of Dublin. It portrays a shield with three castles over a mace , sword and cap of maintenance.
