Fairy Themed Child’s Cup and Saucer.

A wonderful children’s bone china cup and saucer. Made by Alfred Meakin of Tunstall in the 1930’s. Both are in very good condition for their age (almost 100 years old) – both have a little rubbing to the gilding and the cup has 2 very small nicks to the rim (see photos) but no cracks. The cup has the motto “The Buttercup Fairy is ever so shy, if even a bunny dares to spy”. The saucer has “Oh! Please Mr. Spider do let me go.
