Giant Vintage Maryleigh Pottery Boot Planter

This is a charming, giant (34cm), Vintage Maryleigh Pottery Boot Planter made in Staffordshire, England. This is a rare find. It's lovely, generously sized piece with a glossy white glaze, moulded creases and laces, and hand-finished gold detail, laces and trim Condition: Very good vintage condition, no chips, cracks or repairs, glaze appears smooth and intact, with no crazing visible to the naked eye. Gold trim shows no wear. It's vintage so naturally not 'new' but it was VERY well cared for and was seldom used. The boot is decorated with a pretty floral transfer of lilac-blue pansies, pink blossoms, buds and green leaves on both sides and across the toe. The laces, the tongue outline and the rim are all picked out in gold. It's fully marked underneath with the Maryleigh Pottery backstamp, "Staffordshire England", and a small blue forget-me-not design. It's ideal as a plant pot, a vase for fresh or dried flowers, or a decorative display piece.
