Handmade Chessboard - Exotic Padauk & Maple Wood

My latest handmade chessboard with large chess pieces included. Absolutely beautiful board in person. Beautiful, handcrafted chessboard made from contrasting woods: vibrant exotic Padauk and classic Maple. Each square is carefully cut and assembled to create a stunning playing surface. Perfect for chess enthusiasts or as a unique decorative piece on a side table. A maple frame is cut and mitred to give it a finished look. Both top and bottom can be used as playing surfaces. I chose Padauk for it natural beauty and colour. Padauk is an exotic hardwood but is very expensive hence why this board is expensive but you will have a very unique board, made by hand too. This is a pure solid hardwood chessboard. This is not a board that is covered with other wood such as MDF to make the board thicker or veneered on top with a thin sheet of wood. This is why you see boards online a lot cheaper. Yes they function but over time, they will warp and bend and just fall apart. Materials: Padauk (red hardwood), Maple (light hardwood) Dimensions: Board is 432 x 432mm with 50mm squares. 22mm high. King height is 105mm with the base of it at 35mm.
