Description
It's been more than 30 years since Kurt Cobain died by suicide - and Nirvana were scheduled to play in the RDS in Dublin, Ireland the very day he was found dead - April 8, 1994. Now, one of the posters for that day - one of only 12 printed - is up for sale. This extremely scarce poster promotes the Nirvana concert which was cancelled following the tragic news of Kurt Cobain's death in Seattle, Washington. The gig was scheduled for Friday, April 8, 1994, at the RDS Simmonscourt Pavilion in Dublin, Ireland, with Sebodah and The Raincoats scheduled as the support acts. The large poster displays a neon orange and yellow gradient background with the angel-winged mannequin emblem taken from the In Utero album artwork printed in black and white. Dimensions (poster): 152 cm x 101 cm (59 3/4" x 39 3/4") Condition: Two sides of the border very minimal fraying. It's never been hung and has been stored in a dry place. It's not faded, the colours are very bright and in great condition. I acquired this directly from the original promoter of the concert about 15 years ago and have been keeping it save since. Selling to a good home at set price or best offer.
