I attended international rugby matches for 50 years, from the 1970’s to 2020 with my father. During that time my father collected all the programmes and tickets from the matches he attended, but more significantly, because he toured with the British and Irish Lions in 1983 to New Zealand and the 1981 tour of Ireland to South Africa, he collected signed rugby balls and the tour jackets, bags and club ties from all the tours he attended. I had hoped to keep the collection intact, but the memorabilia is spread across different countries and clubs, making it of interest not to a single rugby union.
