Inscription on bronze medallion on back “October 1805 We must never forget those who gave their lives at Trafalger. Rear Admiral James Hawton.” Front inscription “England Expects Every Man Will Do His Duty.” CONDITION: Wear consistent with age. MEASUREMENTS: 14″ wide x 14″ long - 36cm x 36cm Weigh 4.7Kg Despite losing an eye at Corsica and an arm at Santa Cruz, Admiral Horatio Nelson led an extraordinary naval career. He famously destroyed the French fleet at the Battle of the Nile, commanded the daring attack on Copenhagen, and secured a decisive British victory at Trafalgar, where he was fatally wounded in 1805.
