Vintage aluminium kitchen containers

When purchased this set of four were listed as Welsh ice-cream containers c. 1920-1930 (late Victorian era). Aluminum became commercially viable for kitchen ware around this period. Apparently, the aluminum held the ice-cream mixture and it was rotated inside a large wooden bucket filled with crushed ice and rock salt, to freeze the contents quickly whilst preventing large ice crystals from forming.
