Vintage Murphy Stereogram

Vintage mid-1960s Murphy A891SR Stereogram in excellent cosmetic condition. One owner since 1966 when it was bought for 115 guineas (equivalent in today's money = over €2,000). Will need some electronic repairs to enable the full operation of turntable, radio and speakers. Top surface has one small mark as shown in photos. Comes with original operating manual. A wonderful restoration opportunity for a lover of vintage stereo equipment. Description from the original Murphy brochure: A891SR STEREOGRAM Two 10" full range and two 4" high note speakers give sound reproduction of con-cert hall fidelity, and the circuit incorporates no less than twelve semi-conductors and seven valves. The radio has three wavebands-MW, LW and VHF-and there are sockets for one or two external speakers as well as tape recording and playback-both mono and stereo. Its performance and appearance make this Murphy radiogram a dream come true. The Murphy A891 SR is a superb instrument for the connoisseur, a magnificent piece of furniture that will grace any home.
