Stunning Large McDonald Original Oil Painting "Prowling Tiger" Signed To The Lower right By The Artist McDonald, Oil On Canvas This stunning large original oil painting measures 40 1/2inch by 28 1/2inch. The painting itself is in superb condition with no damage to the canvas whatsoever. The solid wood and gilt lined frame is in excellent condition and suits the painting very nicely indeed. The painting is securely mounted into its own stretcher, this is then very securely fixed into the outer frame and the painting is ready to hang. The painting portrays a very handsome tiger prowling by the river. The expression on the tiger's face is superbly portrayed. I particularly love the texture of the fur, the whiskers and the tiger's eyes. The colours of the tiger are beautiful. The impressionist brushwork is excellent, with the tiger taking centre stage in the painting. The painting is clearly signed by the artist to the lower right McDonald. This painting of a magnificent tiger would make an excellent present.
