We had a brilliant LEAN tour at Applied Concepts today and are heading home full of ideas and excitement to really get stuck into our own LEAN journey. It was great to see LEAN principles in action and to learn from such a knowledgeable team. Great experience at Applied on their Lean Tour. Really helpful to see Lean practices in operation, how every member of the staff is involved, and the difference between their starting point and where they are now on their lean journey. The consistency and confidence they all have in making continuous improvements, small and large is impressive. The productivity statistics speak for themselves, however to walk around the facility and see visually how they operate is well worth the trip. I’d highly recommend the tour to anyone interested in Lean, both manufacturing and non-manufacturing businesses.
