AVOID DESMOND MOTORS.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY buying a new or used vehicle from Desmond Motors.

They are extremely dismissive, slow and difficult to deal with. Having purchased a used Nissan Qashqui, I spent the next 6 weeks negotiating with Liam (GM) and his team to fix and engine leak, 2 weeks after I purchased it on the Buncrana Road.

Once the oil leak was fixed, I had to return the vehicle for a second issue. I go the run around about parts, Liam cited that it is Ford I should have bought, his staff were not available for timely updates when all the while I had to transfer and continuously extend my insurance policy onto two terrible, old and what were the mechanic run around cars disguised as 'courtesy cars' in lieu.

I had to wait over 3 hours in the showroom for a car to brought and have missed numerous days with work because they sold a sub standard vehicle claiming they had completed 'checks'.

The blamed the suppliers, it being a Nissan engine and not a Ford for the delays but were unable to cite tracking orders or expected delivery timelines for the parts. I got the run around every single time.

The vehicle was returned to me the first time with an empty tank while it was in the garage, what I assumed was being repaired, without any reason or reimbursement. Customer care is poor, after sales service is poor.

All excuses and stories and no actual care for their customers only profit/sales.

Overall, a very, very poor dealership and would encourage new and existing customers to go elsewhere and don't be caught.

1- I spent the next 7 days calling daily, emailing Liam & his employees for an update regarding the part when it was clear on the initial assessment pic 3 that there was an issue. Pic 2 is what was on my car after the oil leak was 'repaired'.
