Donal Ryan Motor Group is one of the longest established Nissan Dealers in the country. We are a family owned, professionally managed motor dealership with almost 50 years experience. In the early 1960s Donal Ryan sen. began selling petrol, tyres, parts and electrical goods in Templederry, Co Tipperary. In 1966 he opened the village filling station and garage and in 1973 the garage sought the Datsun franchise. In Dec 82 our Thurles, Co Tipperary branch was opened and the following year a filling station had been added. Our body shop had been established in 1985 in Templederry and had been extended in the mid 90s. This allowed us to give our customers an overall service package according to their needs and requirements. Business was growing rapidly thanks to our dedicated staff and our strong feeling on customer care. This encouraged Donal Ryan to open yet another branch in Roscrea, Co Tipperary in 1987. Three years later Donal Ryan Car and Van Hire Ltd had been founded which is the only car hire company based in County Tipperary to date, running a fleet of 100 cars and vans. In 1993 Donal Ryans was awarded the Nissan Dealership of the Year. During 2000 the site at Limerick Rd, Nenagh, Co Tipperary has been acquired. This purchase resulted that in 2003 our Nenagh, Co Tipperary showroom and garage was opened. With that we won the National Dealership of the Year Nissan Award for the 3rd time. In the same year our Thurles branch has been completely refurbished. In Autumn 2008 our new state of the art Showroom and Service Department with retail units opened its doors in Roscrea. I had a van rented and to be collect for half 9 in the morning but when I arrived I was told the computers were down and I couldn’t get the van but they would ring me when they are back up. Ended up ringing them myself at half 11 and being told they were back up half an hour ago. Came back to the garage and the computers were “back up” but still was told a different excuse every time I asked when I was getting the keys to the van. I was eventually told the boss has the keys locked in his office and we had to wait a “few minutes” as he was getting parts out of the local garage. It’s obvious the boss cares extremely well about his cars as it took him an hour to pick out the best parts he could find and return to the garage 1 hour later. Rented a van for half 9, was handed the keys at half 12. DO NOT try to rent or decide to purchase a vehicle in this garage as the minimum wait time is 3 hours  with a boss who decides to go off on little adventures when he knows customers are waiting. Well deserved 1 star. Keep up the great work lads.  Plus- could not bother their backside to open the door and maybe clean it for the next customer
