Highly recommend, not just for sales but for servicing and repairs as well. When our family got bigger we needed a bigger car, preferably an estate. We found one at East Cork Motors and Jimmy’s service was superb. On the way home one of the balancing weights fell off and the steering started vibrating at 110km/h and above. I rang Jimmy and he  was more than willing to open his workshop on a Saturday morning just to sort it out. Much appreciated.

Traded in my old car here and received a fantastic, professional and personalised service. New car is immaculate, and came fully serviced to a high standard. Would recommend to anyone in Cork looking for a second hand car or a service.

*Update. My husband bought a car from Jimmy that had a few problems at the start. Jimmy sorted them all. Decent and honest sales man.

Cowboys AVOID.
Bought a second hand Yaris from East Cork Motors in September with a "3 months warranty", and I have had nothing but issues. They put new brake pads on without fixing the worn rotors underneath, so now the brakes are warped and pulsing when I try to stop.That's a pretty serious safety issue they should have sorted before selling the car. They promised the car was serviced beforehand and there would be no issues.

The central locking doesn't work and the radio is dead. I've tried contacting them several times to get these fixed but they have completely ignore my calls.

Really disappointed with the lack of care after the sale. The brake situation especially worries me.

I had a very negative experience with East Cork Motors. I left a €200 deposit for a used Mazda 3 (2010, 380,000 km), but after doing proper market research, I realised the car was severely overpriced compared to others in much better condition. I decided not to go ahead with the purchase — which was completely reasonable given the circumstances — but the dealer refused to return my deposit.

I understand that deposits can be non-refundable in some cases. However, in this case, there was no written agreement, no receipt outlining any terms, and no clear communication about deposit conditions before I paid. Withholding the money in this way is dishonest, unethical, and highly unprofessional.

I strongly advise others to avoid East Cork Motors. Don’t hand over any money unless everything is clearly documented. This business takes advantage of honest people who place their trust in good faith.
