Time waster for Service

today 5/10/23 18:35 I still haven't received the confirmation, I sent them another email yesterday (October 4) in conclusion, if you have something to repair, don't waste your time with this vw

Agreed with the logic of having my wife’s 2005 Polo towed to the nearest Volkswagen service centre after it broke down. Car ended up in Bradys of Arva, and that is when things went from bad to worse. Despite them knowing it was a breakdown, it was over 2 weeks before they agreed to inspect the car. We were then informed the car wasn’t worth repairing. Spoke with the experienced mechanic in Dublin who had recently fitted a new clutch plate on the same car, and so we decided to have the car towed back to Dublin. Brady’s would not release the car until €170 reduced to €150 was paid. Queried this charge and was told 2 engineers worked on the car with a diagnostic kit. Car arrived back in Dublin with no receipt, no diagnostic report and a window left open to the elements. Local garage fitted a new fuel pump, I dried out the interior and the little car has been bombing up & down the M50 ever since with absolutely no problems. I will leave the reader to decide what really happened with this car in Bradys, but unfortunately, I can’t give a "-1" review here. So much for supporting local business.
