CONTRACT REARER WANTED

Seeking a contract rearer for 30–40 Friesian heifer calves, to be reared from weaning (approx. 12 weeks) to around two weeks pre-calving. The contract will involve two groups of stock: weaned calves and yearling heifers. I have 20+ years’ experience in contract rearing, working under long-term arrangements with multiple farmers. This opportunity arises as existing rearing arrangements are changing due to rearers altering their farming systems. References available. Monthly payments, flexible terms. If numbers are an issue, there is also scope to include beef calves. West Cork preferred, but rearers outside the region will also be considered.
