2014 Land Rover Evoque 2.2 Diesel – Needs Steering Rack – €Priced to Sell reliable 2.2 diesel engine, known for being stronger and more dependable than the newer 2.0 engines. 330,000 km on the clock. Was a daily driver right up until yesterday, mostly long motorway drives, always driven well and carefully looked after. Serviced routinely. New clutch and timing belts fitted around 15,000 km ago. Issue: Steering rack now needs repair or replacement, reflected in the price. Vehicle will need to be towed or collected on a trailer. It is an electrical steering rack. So when it turns right or left there is a grinding sound. This part is 300 from a breakers or 2800 new from Landrover. Haven’t had time to check the non brand part price. Aside from the steering rack, the car is in great condition for its age and mileage. Engine running well and was driving perfectly before the steering issue occurred.
