I had the luck to come across Kevin on my car search. He made buying a car such a reassuring process. Kevin ensures that everything that comes from his business is top drawer and the whole process is very professional. Viewed a 2019 Mercedes E220d from this seller — very poor experience.

The engine was already fully warm on arrival, which raised concerns. I asked why, and was told it had just been driven for diesel and AdBlue.

When I pointed out that warm engines can hide timing chain issues — especially around 150–200k km — the seller became extremely defensive, insisted "these chains never need replacement," and said he didn’t want to sell us the car anymore.

He also claimed to have “30 years of experience” yet denied a known issue with the OM654 engine chain.

When I asked how many horsepower the car had, he walked away from the conversation entirely.

The car also showed occasional gearbox jerks shifting from Park to Drive, and had no service history at all. When I asked about it, the seller claimed — unbelievably — that due to “data protection laws,” he couldn’t retrieve the history, since “everything is online.”

For a €30,000 car, I expected professionalism, honesty, and transparency. Instead, I got defensiveness, misinformation, and poor attitude. Serious buyers should be cautious — especially if you know what to look for.
