My recent experience at R. Neary dealership was marked by both excitement and challenges, ultimately leading to a satisfactory resolution. Upon discovering my dream Mercedes through Done Deal, I eagerly arranged a test drive, which only deepened my affection for the vehicle. The transaction proceeded smoothly, and within three days, Ryan delivered the car to my doorstep.

However, shortly after taking ownership, I encountered issues with the vehicle; specifically, the battery light illuminated and the multimedia center became unresponsive. Upon reaching out to Ryan for assistance, he promptly referred me to Keith, the warranty coordinator. Unfortunately, Keith informed me that an inspection could not be scheduled for two weeks. In response to this inconvenience, the dealership took back my car and provided me with a suitable replacement vehicle during this interim period.

True to their commitment, I received my Mercedes back in excellent condition after it underwent necessary repairs including a new battery and software update. Additionally, I appreciated the timely delivery of the logbook within a week of purchase and found that my inquiries were consistently addressed via phone or WhatsApp communication.

Despite initial reservations influenced by mixed reviews about the dealership's service efficiency, I found their staff to be remarkably helpful amidst their busy schedule. This experience has left me feeling confident in my decision to engage with R. Neary dealership again in the future. My willingness to proceed despite apprehensions proved rewarding; I have no regrets regarding my choice. 😊

I really compared the "Meer kat" before finally buying in R Neary Motors! Derek was fantastic to deal with, he really knew what he was talking about! Some other dealerships did not, to say the least! R Neary  Motors have a fantastic selection of vehicles to choose from & they have everything covered for after sales customer service, with Warrenties & mechanics on site for folk to come back and book in their car for future repairs if needed! I would highly recommend buying from here. Nobody wants to drop a substantial amount of money on a car and regret it if things start to go wrong. I didn't feel I was doing that dealing with Derek. Considering some if the reviews I now see I'm one of the luckier ones I didn't go through with purchase. I put a deposit of €500 through revolut 3 weeks ago to reserve a car (for 2 days) while I checked insurance as it was a sport model. I was dealing with "Jon".
I decided not to go with that model and I was about to go to the states which I explained to Jon that I would look again when I returned. When asked for deposit back he assured me there was no issue, and I also asked for the terms and conditions of reserve/deposit policy for their dealership (for times) which I was always told "I will sort that tomorrow ". Same was said about my deposit.  My poor dad rang Ryan Neary himself 2 days ago who said would sort it, no contact since. Jon told me he would "send a cheque in the post" although I am entitled to receive deposit back as I paid it. I'm relieved now I didn't purchase a car if this is how they treat potential customers. I am down €500 and they still have their car. Don't go by the reviews on their own website. Save yourself hassle.

I purchased a Mercedes from Ryan Neary Motors that was later found, by an independent automotive engineer, to be unroadworthy. The report identified that the vehicle had been involved in two previous collisions and that the diesel particulate filter (DPF) had been removed — facts that were not disclosed at the point of sale. Since discovering these issues, I have spent six months attempting to resolve the matter, including initiating legal proceedings to recover my costs. A formal complaint with the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has been lodged.
Communication was evasive and unsatisfactory when it was extant at all. This experience has caused significant financial and emotional stress which is to be included in proceedings.
I am sharing this to inform other consumers to ensure the utmost caution and preferably independent inspections and ideally to avoid this seller.
