Description
Authentic period strike copperplate engraving by the celebrated German master Johann Elias Ridinger (1698–1767). This piece is Plate 12 from his highly sought-after 1734 dressage suite, "Die Neue Reitschule" (The New Riding School). This is a later 19th century engraving from the same plate on laid paper. Features the official Imperial Privilege mark ("avec P.S.C.M. 12") and workshop credits ("Joh. El. Ridinger inv. des. et exc. A.V.") Some gilt damage to the frame but otherwise in great condition.
