Description: Headwater is a woman lying full-length across the horizon, her body forming the hills — knee raised into a peak, torso banked in flat planes of gold, ochre and rose, all held in heavy black line. From her eye a single tear falls and becomes the river, winding down through the green field to the front of the canvas. Lavender mountains rise behind her in thick knife-worked impasto, ridged with orange, and the field beneath turns in slow green swirls. Faceted, deliberately strange, and built so the whole landscape reads as one body. Art should always be Accessible: Every river starts somewhere.
