Sally Grant original maquette sculpture

A unique piece of studio work, sculpted in the Modernist style by renowned artist, Sally Grant. This fabulous work is an original, painted clay maquette for Sally’s 2013 ‘Listening Head’ which was produced in resin in a limited edition of 10 pieces. Sally has verified this piece and issued a Certificate of Authenticity, recognising this clay maquette as an ‘Artist’s Proof’. Sally would sculpt and hand finish these maquettes and take a silicone mould to produce the final, resin sculpture. Sally’s sculptures are expressionistic, semi-abstract and figurative. Each piece starts with a clay maquette which is, after various stages of refinement, cast into bronze, marble or slate resin. It often takes months to finish a piece to Grant's high standard and this unique piece is right at the start of this process. Sally Grant has exhibited at national prestigious galleries including the Royal West of England Academy, where she is now an RWA Artist and active member of the Peer Critique Group. A unique piece from this artist that will display beautifully and only increase in value. Measures approximately 15cm in height with a depth of 19cm.
