Six Coloured Prints of Traditional Thai life in the 1860's Six beautiful colourful prints of scenes of traditional Thai way of life in the 1860's from the Jim Thompson Foundation. The prints are taken from the collection of 27 paintings that Dr J.H. Chandler , an American missionary and consul to Thailand commissioned in the early 1860's.The paintings depict everyday scenes of the traditional Thai way of life such as threshing rice and village market. The paintings can be seen in the picture gallery of the Jim Thompson House website in Bangkok.(www.jimthompsonhouse.com/musuem/index.asp) The prints measure 39cm long and 31 cm wide. All 6 in very good condition with very vivid colours. Each print has its own title together with the Jim Thompson Foundation +logo. These prints are unique and written enquiries with the Jim Thompson Foundation can throw no light on their origin or existence.
