Premium Black Patent English/ Scottish Breastplate Driving Harness Set (Fits approx 14.3 Irish Cob/ Welsh Section D An absolutely stunning, traditional bench-made English / Scottish leather show harness in overall great condition. This set has been used but has been exceptionally well looked after, cleaned, and stored correctly. Features striking high-gloss black patent leather accents and heavily polished solid brass hardware. This is a complete, versatile set perfect for Private Driving, traditional competition, or formal pleasure turnouts. This harness is perfectly styled and sized to fit a Cob with good movement up and down. This set features a traditional breastplate (breast collar) setup. Traces: 170 inches end-to-end. Double-layered, heavily stitched black leather. Brown reins. Condition Details: Overall great condition throughout. The leather is soft, strong, and highly supple. Crack in leather on false martingale. This is a pre-owned, used set that has been genuinely well looked after. As expected with used gear, there are a few normal cosmetic marks and dints from regular use, but nothing that affects its brilliant look in the ring. The black patent finish holds a beautiful mirror shine, and all stitching is tight and intact. Girth straps are completely brand new. I’ve not used it, bought for my cob but at 15.3 it was just too small for her. I bought it as McRostie of Edinburgh. But Please note I wasn’t able to find any markings, only really tried it on. However while the traditional hot-iron leather maker's marks have naturally compressed out and faded over time, this set features the unmistakable, definitive "fingerprint" unique to an authentic McRostie of Glasgow masterpiece: the iconic blue-tufted/quilted wool serge lining on the presentation saddle.
