Cattle crush gate, head scoop, anti- backing bar

The double linkage system ensures that both gates open and close accurately and evenly each time it is used without fail. The crush gate is eligible for TAMS 3 under the farm safety capital investment scheme (€339 grant available) Crush gate price: €1100 plus 13.5% VAT Brody Cattle Head Scoop bolts on to the side of the crush and makes tasks such as dosing and dehorning more manageable and safer. A ratchet device locks the Head Scoop in place at a suitable height for working on an animal. When the work is complete the Head Scoop swivels back away from the crush gate so that the animal can be released. It has a moulded plastic head lock (New Zealand model) which makes it safe for working on all ages of cattle. It will fit both a left and a right hand crush. It is easy to remove if there is more than one crush on a farm. The Anti-backing bar comes in 2 options. The first option rotates upwards to allow the animal up the crush and is dropped down behind the animal once it has moved beyond it. The second option is a spring loaded bar that allows the animal to push it forward and springs back into a locking positon once the animal has moved past it. The Anti-backing bar will slide easily on the bars of the crush so it can be pushed up tight against an animal. If the animal tries to push back the bar locks up to prevent any backward movement making it safer for the person working on the animal. There is also a quick release lever which allows the bar to drop down in an emergency situation if an animal had to be released. The bar locks back into the working position when it is pushed up again. Anti-backing bar: €325
