The strength and Finnish of the seeder speaks for its self not too mention it’s simplicity. The UM (2.5 m or 3m) is an efficient seed drill for renewing of existing grass cultures without preceding soil preparation. The machine is suitable for repair and renewing of ordinary grassland that is in a poor condition. Same applies when greater parts of the field is damaged by frost or floods. Actual for agricultural purpose as well as for sports grounds, golf courses and public Greenland. On shallow cultivated pastures it is difficult too carry out soil preparation, here it is ideal too use a direct seed drill, if there is surface rock on top or stones in the soil, the spring loaded sowing skies will easily ride over such obstacles. The seed drill is very suitable for sowing special seed sorts into existing cultures for example Clover in a poor Clover grassland, the sowing coulters are a special feature of this seed drill, they are shaped like short steel skies and have an adjustable ground pressure, the pressure of each ski hardened steel knife is placed in the front end, the knife is adjustable up or down to cut the sowing track in wanted dept. At the rear end of the splits in the skies the seed coming from the metering unit is dropped in the grooves that the knives are cutting. The feed rollers are driven via a chain from the ground wheel. The sowing Coulter has proved to be superior to traditional sowing legs and rotating discs, a steel ski with two knives aslant underneath, gliding on the ground under pressure, the last 3 pictures show grass seed sown on 9-5-24 and it well established on the 3-6-24.
