The Adams name has been synonymous and traditionally associated with transport over the past 70 years. This association was started by Michael Adams (Sean Adams’ father) and his brother, Jack in the 1930’s. The Adams family ran a daily bus service from Tarbert to Limerick and had the largest postal delivery service during this time, right up until the 70’s when the structure of the postal service changed.

The Garage business also started in the 30’s, in a time when there was no electricity, when the petrol and the air for the tyres had to be pumped by hand. Sean Adams built his first garage in the 60’s for a cost of &pound;1760 and along with repairs Sean started to sell cars. It was in 1969 when he acquired the Peugeot Franchise and in 2019 we will celebrate 50 years with Peugeot making Adams of Glin the longest serving Peugeot Dealer in Ireland. It will also mark a celebration of over 75 years involved in the servicing and selling of motor vehicles making Adams of Glin one of the longest serving motor dealers in Limerick and Kerry.

In 2002 we undertook a major redevelopment of our site which involved the demolition of our old premises and the construction of a new shop, forecourt, 8 bay workshop, parts departments and an 11 car showroom. Therefore, we look forward to the future with confidence, but also realise that this could not have been possible without you, our customers, and the support that Adams of Glin has received for the last 75 plus years.

Purchased a Peugeot 208 -2019 in October ‘21.  Temperature sensor on the display was displaying minus 15 and air con not working. Back to Glin to fix it, after an hour I get the car back but when I got home I noticed sensor still not working.

Organised another trip out from Listowel to fix it a couple of days later,  2 hours off work and waiting in the garage, no toilets at the time due to on going works ....when I drove home afterwards and noticed once again the  temperature sensor still not working. Garage refuse to take my calls.

Edit. A month later the 7th Dec 21, I had to contact them again since I never heard from them.  So this time they gave me a car to use while holding on to mine, over a week so far.  Was told waiting for “another” part!!!  The temporary car has no cruise control so very difficult for me to use on long journeys and seriously dirty.

I went to use the car the garage gave me on Tuesday to get coal and the battery flat. I had to ring the garage to get someone out to boost it. Then i had to leave it run for an hour.  I finally heard from the garage Wednesday to say my own car is ready to collect, over a week and a half later. So far so good..... the car should have been checked prior to selling. Experience Very inconvenience...

I recently purchased a Skoda Kodiaq and had a completely positive experience from start to finish! The entire process was smooth and hassle-free. I dealt with Ollie  over the phone regarding the sale. I found him to be  professional, knowedgeable, and never pushy. Anything I requested was done with minimum fuss.  As Ollie wasn't working on the day I collected the car, I dealt with Lachlan, and again I found him to be very courteous and professional. Everything was ready on my arrival and the whole collection process was done quickly and efficiently. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new vehicle.

I have never dealt with this company before (bought a car or got a car serviced off them), but I had to bring my car to a Peugeot dealership to fix a part. From start to finish ( before, during and after) the service was great. The women I dealt with were kind, courteous and helpful and made me feel at ease. The mechanics were quicker than expected and even power washed my car. It is probably the best customer experience I've ever had with a car dealership.

It was how buying a car should be. The customer service from Boland was second to none. Especially Cillian Murphy who was how I think customer service should be. It felt as though you were in safe and honest hands dealing with Cillian and Bolands. My husband has recently bought a Volvo from them also. At any point they are contactable and helpful. Appointment can be made. There is no invisibility in hiding behind desks or secretaries. They know there clients and actually help sort there request or problems out. Our 252 registered vehicle has been off the road for the past 3 months due to electrical problems. We are very disappointed with the poor level of service from Brights and Peugeot Ireland. They don’t appear to be aware or indeed care about client service - let alone - consumer rights, My partner, who uses the vehicle,  is disabled and this situation has been extremely stressful for him. I have lost confidence in the dealer’s  ability to repair the problem and when I requested a replacement vehicle as per the warranty agreement I was informed that there would be a financial cost to us which is unacceptable since we bought the vehicle new less than 10 months ago. This is an untenable situation that Bright Motor Group either do not comprehend or acknowledge. I cannot recommended this garage.

I bought a car from another “dealer” last October, and the car gave numerous issues and transpired to be a crashed car and they never disclosed. Absolute nightmare to deal with and had to return after 2 months. Had an awful experience and needed a good car fast. That’s when I came to Clarke Brothers.

Came to Clarkes looking to replace it and not only did Shaun take measurements and details of the car (for my work) and give them to my mother before I called to test drive, but could not have been more helpful or understanding.

Left my review until my warranty had ended to give a thorough and honest review based on my experience…suspension arm changed during the 101 AA point check before leaving the car out first day.

After a few weeks my adblue tank failed, about a €2,000 repair which they took care of it under warranty hassle free. (Not their fault, adblue problems happen sadly!)

Not only that, I had an issue getting it tracked where the tracker refused to track it. Shaun & Sean Clarke (the owner) took my car in, and gave a full day going through it to make sure it was right and re-track it out of the goodness of their hearts. They didn’t have to do it, but I truly appreciated the lengths they went to, to ensure the car was right. That’s what you call a good dealership and it’s things like this that make you truly appreciate dealing with professionals.

Bought a second car from them 2 weeks after this car, and we are both very happy and thankful to Clarke Brothers. When I need to change, I’ll be back!

The level of disrespect from some employees here is ridiculous. I was talked down to and given zero information on my car unless i reached out myself. My Citroen car had an ECU issue that has been ongoing so I decided to have the car towed to Hugo Loonam as that’s where I had bought it a few years back. Took 2.5 weeks to get an appointment and then the car proceeded to stay in the garage for a week with no work done with the claim they had “too many cars” to work on. Once the job was “finished”, they proceeded to tell me that there was an Ad Blue system issue they couldn’t fix, despite it being a Citeron garage. I was then charged for the work they completed and was left with an engine light, an Ad Blue light and a service light and a reference to yet ANOTHER mechanic which I have to book myself. The car was also absolutely filthy, it was covered in mold (from a window being open and no care taken to prevent that or to clean it) and broken parts of my car. Avoid this place at all costs.
