Description
Cornflowers really are a beautiful flower to look at. They are good value too because they will keep on flowering for several months often until December. They are a native plant and were often found growing wild in waste ground and in cornfields in the past, hence the name.Once established in a bed, cornflowers will self-seed and return year after year but you lightly rake or root around the plot every spring to help the fallen seeds to germinate. Mix them in with poppies and you will have a great display of colour all summer as well as attracting many beneficial insects to your garden.Seeds need a fine and fluffy seedbed. It does not need to be deep at all, .50cm deep is perfect. Roll or lightly rake in afterwards. Scattering them on uncultivated soil is not recommended. Buy online; www.rathcormacgunclub.com Wildflower meadow seed, game crops and ACRES winter bird feed seed also available
