Therefore, only water when the soil is bone dry and has been that way for some time. When watering give it a thorough drench making sure lots of water leaves the drainage holes and always let it drain completely before placing it back into an exterior pot! This plant loves sunshine, so place it on a sunny windowsill or close to a sunny windowsill. You'll know it is happy when it grows little leaves and they stay green, if the leaves turn yellow it can be a sign of over-watering. Fertilise from March - Sept with cactus fertiliser.
