This is a antique vintage cast iron Large three-legged pot, traditionally known in Ireland as a cauldron. It is round-bellied with three legs made 1880 approx these pots were widely used throughout rural Ireland during this period. Traditionally used over an open hearth fire or in a fireplace crane. Solid cast iron, Now repurposed as a garden planter, this pot adds authentic vintage character to any cottage or rustic outdoor setting. Ideal for flower displays, especially trailing varieties like campanula that will flower for months and will come year after year so no maintenance!! condition of pot: this large old cast iron pot has a hole on the base as seen in photo 3, making it perfect for outdoor planting and preventing water buildup.
