Description
Phyllostachys aurea, commonly known as Golden Bamboo. Appearance: It's an evergreen, suckering bamboo with vibrant green culms (canes) that transition to a golden-yellow hue when exposed to sunlight. Its leaves are golden-green and can reach up to 7 inches (18cm) in length. Growth and Hardiness: Golden Bamboo is a fast-growing variety, capable of growing over 60cm annually, and can reach heights of 2.5-4 meters. It's a tough and hardy plant, but it thrives best when sheltered from cold, drying winds. Ideal Growing Conditions: It prefers full sun for at least six to eight hours daily, although some late-afternoon shade can be beneficial in very hot climates. While it can tolerate partial shade, its growth rate will be slower. €49 for 5 foot plants. €20 for small plants.
