It can be sited in coastal areas subject to high wind, we use it extensively as a windbreak. It is one of the fastest ways to create privacy within a new development and rapidly helps soil stabilization in areas subject to wet/ high water table. They can also be used for septic waste treatment systems. Many of our customers grow this variety for use as firewood biomass on a 5 year coppice.
