Description

An antique hand-forged wry-neck (or wring-neck) putter stamped with T. Galloway, Successor to D. Nicolson, Pittenweem represents a late-period or post-takeover piece from a well-known Scottish clubmaking lineage Thomas Galloway: Galloway took over the Pittenweem business later in 1913. Because the "Gold Medal, Edinburgh Exhibition 1890" stamp continued to be used by the workshop as a hallmark of pedigree, clubs stamped with T. Galloway, Successor to D. Nicolson date from 1913 onward into the hickory-shaft era 1913 to 1920’s approximately 34 cm long Iron, hickory, leather #golf memorabilia#antique golf club#scottish golf club
