Rare and discontinued ESP LTD EC-401B Baritone, in genuinely immaculate condition. This is the sought-after 27" baritone version of the EC-401, with the EC-401 model designation visible in the 12th-fret inlay. 6-string, 27" (686mm) baritone scale with 24 extra-jumbo frets. Ideal for low tunings, heavier styles and maintaining excellent string tension without the feel of a conventional bass. Specification includes mahogany body with maple top, set maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, Thin U neck profile, 42mm nut, black satin hardware, LTD tuners and Tune-o-matic bridge/stop tailpiece. Fitted with the original EMG 81 bridge and EMG 60 neck active humbuckers, with 2 volume controls, master tone and 3-way pickup selector. Powerful, articulate EMG sound particularly well suited to rock, metal and down-tuned playing, while remaining versatile enough for clean and conventional guitar work. Made in Korea. “Designed by ESP” and Korean production markings are present on the rear of the headstock. The guitar is in immaculate condition, having never been gigged or used for live performance. It has been carefully kept and stored in the included padded gig bag. A particularly clean example of a discontinued LTD baritone model and increasingly difficult to find in this condition.
