G&L ASAT Classic — USA / Fullerton, circa 2006 €1250 Beautiful G&L ASAT Classic, highly likely to be a genuine USA-made Fullerton, California instrument, probably circa 2006. Immaculate condition, never gigged, and used only occasionally for studio recording. Hard case included. The USA identification is supported by several pieces of evidence: the guitar carries the CLF-series sequential serial-number format used by G&L for its USA instruments, rather than the separate serial system used for Tribute imports; the headstock is correctly marked G&L ASAT Classic with no “Tribute” designation; the construction, hardware and traditional ASAT Classic specification are consistent with the USA model; and historical G&L serial/registry records place instruments with very closely adjacent CLF numbers in the 2006 USA production period. The back of the headstock also retains the characteristic wooden dowel/plug associated with G&L instruments of this era. On the available evidence, I assess it as approximately 97% likely to be a genuine USA-made G&L rather than a Tribute. Exact factory production date has not been independently confirmed.
