Gibson Les Paul Standard 100th Anniversary, 2015, Mint!

Mint condition 2015 Gibson Les Paul Standard in tobacco sunburst with nice AA maple top. I'm aware that LP purists disliked the 2015 Standard but this model has some unique features which have attracted players who appreciate changes perhaps better suited to the 21st century: a wider neck with asymmetrical profile, rosewood fingerboard with real pearl inlay, Plekked frets with no nibs, a brass "zero fret" nut, and a tune-o-matic bridge with Titanium saddles. Pickups are Burstbucker Pros with pull-pots offering coil taps, phase (with both selected) and a "direct" out from the bridge pickup. It seems that the things which really upset people are the Les Paul 100 scrawl on the headstock and the G-Force automatic tuners. These have been kept (although it's tempting to fit some Klusons). At least there's the option of programming in your own favourite tunings. Handy if you want to do a quick Stones open-G song or an exotic DADGAD or whatever! They don't affect the balance (although they might if they were on an SG!). Regardless of the less popular features this guitar still delivers the classic Les Paul sound but with the added flexibility offered by the pickup switching. Contemporary reviews were generally complimentary (overlooking the cosmetic gripes) and this model is now becoming sought-after and increasing in value.
