Guitar - Ovation, 12-string

This 12-string Ovation is about 15 years old. I acquired it 2 years ago, but it needed a fix. I bought it on an impulse because I'd never before played a 12-string. The string action was too high, especially from the 8th fret and above. I gave it to a luthier, who sorted the matter in a very innovative fashion. Study the images and you'll see the neck remains dead straight and the string action is just bang-on. I discovered that 12-string guitar playing just isn't my bag of tricks, so I made a six-string of it. The frets are in excellent condition and this guitar has a solid spruce top. Built-in digital tuner. The strings have been changed a few times since. I kept the extra six Ovation machine heads with their screws - they go with the guitar in case someone wishes to return it to 12-string status. It plays very well and is really sweet when plugged into an amp. Ovations have the rounded plastic composite bowl body, but it makes them slide off your thigh when you play them while seated. As one image shows, I've remedied the problem by attaching a piece of oval ribbed rubber sheeting. It looks completely unobtrusive, as though it were part of the instrument from Day one. Now it remains perched on the knee / lap / thigh very comfortably and securely. I'm selling it because I subsequently bought a 1970's Ovation 1712 Balladeer with a deeper bowl, which has a really rich sound - I also gave that one the ribbed rubber treatment! Included in the sale will be a stand, a quality Kyser 12-string capo, the 6 extra machine heads, a strap and a soft vinyl case. I've been honest and clear in the information.
