Martin D18 V

Gorgeous Martin D18 V from 1994. Vintage series. Same spec as the reimagined series but with vintage neck. This guitar has benefitted from being played in over its years. For those who don't know this time dries all the sap in the woods used producing a richer, fuller instrument. This is so sought-after that most of the high end guitar companies are now mechanically replicating this ageing process in their factories and calling it baking or torrefying but nothing beats time and play for a solid wood instrument. As a result there are some minor dings and scratches, normal for a guitar that has been played. There is one repaired and cleated crack above the sound hole. This was damaged and repaired long ago and is completely stable and has been for a long time. The D18 is, like the D28, one of THE iconic acoustic instruments since the birth of the acoustic guitar, used by everyone from Bob Dylan to Kurt Cobain. Spruce over mahogany produces a warm, balanced tone perfect for most styles really. Martin branded hardshell case included. Might trade for other Martin's or Lowden, Atkin, McIlroy etc.
