RARE 1980 MORRIS W-50 / T.F – JAPANESE LAWSUIT ERA

Featuring genuine Brazilian rosewood (Jacaranda) laminated back and sides, as confirmed in Morris’s original factory specifications. These vintage Japanese instruments are associated with specialist laminated construction, with some examples described as using two layers of real timber bonded together with natural resins rather than conventional multi-ply construction (hence the same wood pattern on the inside and outside) The stunning three-piece back combines richly figured Brazilian rosewood with a beautifully flamed chestnut centre section, separated by intricate decorative purfling. Built during the celebrated Japanese lawsuit era, when manufacturers such as Morris produced beautifully crafted interpretations of classic Martin acoustic guitars. Dating from 1980 and now over 45 years old, this example remains in a exceptionally good cosmetic and cared for condition and comes complete with its original Japanese sales brochure, tuning fork, truss rod tool and hard case. 🎸 Features & Specifications * Make: Morris * Model: T.F / W-50 * Year: 1980 * Origin: Made in Japan * Era: Japanese lawsuit era / Martin-inspired * Body: Traditional dreadnought acoustic * Back & Sides: Brazilian rosewood laminate * Back Design: Stunning three-piece back with contrasting flamed chesnut centre strip * Fingerboard: Dark fingerboard with beautiful mother-of-pearl inlays * Headstock: Decorative Morris logo with pearl-style detailing * Tuners: Chrome enclosed machine heads * Finish: Natural gloss top with deep, rich back and sides * Binding: Decorative multi-ply binding and intricate purfling * New Martin Retro Monel 12-54 strings ⭐ Condition – Exceptional for Its Age This guitar is in extremely good condition for its age, a real stage guitar!
