This beautiful (just look at it) all-solid Steel body Nickel Plated Ozark 3515N Resonator Guitar offers a rich, metallic tone, generated from a single inverted metal ‘speaker’ cone, mounted within the Steel body. This is a great choice for Guitarists looking to explore the unique sound and tonal qualities that a Resonator has to offer.
Favoured by Delta Blues players due to the superior volume and dynamics to those generated from wooden body Resonator Guitars. The ‘Biscuit’-Bridge Single-Cone design gets its name from a small wooden disc found in the center of the cone. The saddle is also crafted from wood and sits in a slot in the ‘biscuit’.
The cone rests on a small ridge on the bottom of a well built into the Guitar body, with string vibrations driven to a single point within the cone, generating stronger fundamental tonal results with less complexity and overtones. The attractive features of this great instrument make it a fantastic, affordable choice for Guitar players looking to purchase their first Resonator who require an easy transition that offers full versatility.
The youtube video link shows the Ozark up against a £2000-£3000 National Guitar, it performs very well against an expensive National guitar, I bought the Ozark based on this video. Its class for bottleneck/slide, awesome sound, its loud ! These guitars were made back in the 1930s to give acoustic players in big bands more volume, electric guitars were not around then. This guitar is only 5 months old, only selling to make more room. Pick up only this guitar is way too heavy to post. Cash only.
