Vintage Mid-1970s Fender Champ. Silverface, 5W All-Tube Combo (110V, Step-Down Transformer & Original Speaker Included)

For sale is a lovely vintage Fender Silverface Champ combo amplifier, built at the Fullerton, California factory in the mid-1970s (c. 1976–78, CBS era). This is the iconic AA764 circuit. A single-ended 6V6GT design. 5 watts, with a 12AX7 preamp tube and 5Y3GT rectifier. No reverb, no tremolo, no tone stack complexity. All tube Fender chime and legendary edge-of-breakup saturation at perfect home and recording volumes. Plug in a Les Paul and it growls; back off a Strat's volume and it cleans up beautifully. This is the amp on countless classic recordings, and the reason they're getting harder to find on this side of the Atlantic. Included in the sale: The Amp: 1970s Fender Silverface Champ, US-spec 110V model. The Fitted Speaker. A modern Jensen P8R (8", 4Ω) the correct impedance for this amp and a well-matched upgrade. It sounds tight, responsive, and fantastic. The Original Speaker. The original factory vintage Fender speaker is also included in the sale, so the amp's long-term collector value is fully preserved. New owner can run the upgraded speaker and keep the original safe, or return the amp to full original spec. The Power Supply. Includes an external step-down voltage transformer (230V → 110V), so it's ready to plug in and play. The transformer is older but works perfectly. Tube complement: 6V6GT, 12AX7, 5Y3GT. Condition: The amp is in very good vintage cosmetic and electronic condition for its age. Tolex and faceplate show standard, honest vintage character. The pots are clean, it plays beautifully, and it delivers that unmistakable vintage Fender tube tone. Viewing & Testing: The amp can be fully played and tested at my location before purchase. Feel free to bring your own guitar and put it through its paces. Collection only. Located in Fairview Dublin 3. Cash or Revolut. Please, no lowball offers. Anyone who knows these amps knows how rare they're getting in Europe, especially as a complete, working, ready-to-play package with its original speaker. Thanks for looking!
