MP 3100 Smith Machine Multigym

The MP3100 Smith Machine is a high performance Smith training system, ideal for weight training in a serious home gym, used by both beginners and more experienced fitness enthusiasts alike.  At the heart of the MP3100 is a barbell that is constrained to move only vertically upwards and downwards on runners (offset by 7 degrees from the vertical to optimize performance). Behind each runner is a series of slots on which the barbell can be hooked. When using the Marcy MP3100, the barbell cannot fall forwards, backwards or sideways, which is why Smith Machines are generally considered safer to use than ordinary barbells on their own.
