Opened box with closed full bottles; genuine leather travel case + outter box in poorer condition. First launched in 1938 by the iconic Greek-French couturier Jean Dessès, this fragrance was formulated by master perfumer Paul Vacher. Jean Dessès (1904–1970) was a world-leading French haute couture fashion designer. His work was heavily inspired by classical Greek and Egyptian sculpture. He became world-famous for his intricately draped and pleated evening gowns made of lightweight fabrics like chiffon, mousseline, tulle, and organza. He was a master of twisting, ruching, and shading fabric to perfectly accentuate the female form. During the 1950s, elite travelers frequently took extended trips via luxury ocean liners or early commercial flights. Perfume houses created "Trousse Voyage" (travel kits) so clients could carry their signature scents without bringing bulky, fragile vanity bottles. Exterior case is crafted from high-grade, supple French calfskin or pigskin leather and brass screw on caps.
