Wheelchair Princess Comfort Chair

Princess Comfort Wheelchair ….currently has a malfunction though !!….but might be of interest to the right party. The back of the chair won’t stay upright. I had someone look at it but he failed to remedy things. We don’t know if it’s the gas strut has stopped working or it’s some other issue. What this means is that the chair currently, as is, is permanently in a reclined position. The mechanism which allows the back to be lowered so that it’s flat, that works perfectly as it’s a separate gas strut which operates that and similarly a third gas strut operates the foot rest section, and that works fine too. So I don’t know…perhaps it’ll be of interest to someone who can fix this type of thing, but as I say, I’ve tried without success. It is a very comfortable chair, giving great all day comfort for sitting, snoozing / sleeping, and given the price of new ones (around €1,500 plus) it still represent good value, provided a person can get it fixed…..so it’s a case of what offers??? As can be seen from 4th photo, these are quite expensive to buy new,.
