Both boilers and oil tanks can become porous and leak causing extensive damage to properties if not dealt with. An oil contamination inspection can detect how far an oil leak has spread in a garden so the correct course of action can be taken in a time sensitive manner. If you can still smell fumes after a repair of your boiler or an oil tank leak we advise having an oil contamination test to determine where the oil leaked too. Oil may have flowed along existing pipework or cables but this can be tested at any crevice nearby. Leaking oil can get into the water system but an oil contamination test can confirm this.
