Description
Pre-owned 1:43 scale diecast model car from my personal collection:- Ferrari GT Collection Ferrari 250LM Red ** Ferrari GT Collection ** Published by Hachette – No11 PRICE >> €10 or Best Offer Ferrari’s first mid-engined GT car was introduced in 1964. The 250LM was based on the successful 250P open prototype but with a roof and higher gauge steel chassis tubes for extra rigidity. However, the 250LM was never homologated as a GT car and competed as a prototype. The 250LM won Le Mans outright in 1965 when entered by NART (North American Racing Team). One of the drivers was future F1 World Champion Jochen Rindt. The 250LM, based on Ferrari’s then naming protocol, should have been called 275LM. The 250 was used to help with the hoped for GT homologation, as it aligned with the preceding line of GT cars such as the 250GT and 250GTO. The 250LM was powered by a Ferrari Type 211 60º V12 light alloy SOHC engine of 3,286cc with 2 valves per cylinder and 6 Weber 38 DCN Carburettors developing 320 bhp @ 7,500 rpm. Model is in good condition and is on original display base. The model on base is in original cardboard/clear plastic packaging which has been opened. More photographs are available on request. Please contact seller if interested in model. Multiple purchase discounts are available if combined with purchase(s) from seller's other Ads.
